Question Cards — Asking More or Offering Choices

When the agent needs clarification or a decision among candidates, it shows a non-modal choice card in the chat composer dock. The recommended choice is highlighted and comparable alternatives appear alongside it.

Interactive question card the agent uses to ask the user back

When do question cards appear?

  • When user intent is ambiguous — "Which emails should I organize?"
  • When choosing among several candidates — "Which of the three meeting rooms?"
  • Right before a risky action — "Should I overwrite this file?"
  • When a plugin suggests a follow-up action — "Add this action item to your TODOs?"

Small conveniences built into the card

  • The recommended choice is highlighted with color.
  • Comparably good alternatives are shown too, so you can compare quickly.
  • Every question is answered with 1–3 concrete choices; no manual text field is shown.
  • Multi-select questions let you toggle several items in the same choice-button list.
  • After a successful response the question card closes, while a read-only answer recap remains in chat history.
The point
Question cards aren't a trick to make the agent look smarter — they're a mechanism that hands decision authority back to the user explicitly.
